Portugal has been continuously ranked as one of the most innovative, business-friendly and overall stable countries in the European Union.
Considered an international technological hub, the Portuguese information and communication technology (ICT) sector is mature, dynamic, resilient, evidencing great export capacity, which brings about the trust of its domestic and international customers. When it comes to cybersecurity in particular, Portugal is focused and works along the best practices in data protection and cybersecurity rules framework, with industry-leading international standards and certifications. I see the Luxembourg Internet Days 2023 event as an excellent opportunity to present and learn significantly more about the competitive advantages of the ICT sector in Portugal and also to establish new and strengthen existing business relations with Portuguese companies on cybersecurity and resilience in critical infrastructures and industry.
Portugal and Luxembourg share very strong and diversified economic and cooperation ties. I believe that the Luxembourg Internet Days 2023 will deepen and enlarge our trade and cooperation relationship, and open new and promising opportunities to international companies and investors to benefit from the advanced Portuguese information and communication technology and experience.
