Gilles has been working with Internet infrastructures for many years. Initially focused on DNS and operations and policies of .LU, his activities now include most aspects of managing a research network. Active in different international organisation like CENTR, the association of European country top level domain registries, or GÉANT, the pan-European association of National Research and Education Networks, he is strongly avocating resilience and security practices on the infrastructure layer. Gilles is currently the director of Restena, the national research and education network for Luxembourg, Chair of the GÉANT board of directors, and continously involved in LU-CIX.
