Biography
Sébastien Faye is 6G Technology and Innovation Line Manager and Senior Researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). His work focuses on projects related to 5G-6G wireless networking, smart mobility, and sensor networks. Between 2009 and 2015, he was actively involved in entrepreneurial activities within the video game and web development sectors. From 2011, as PhD candidate at Telecom ParisTech (Paris, France), he investigated the deployment and performance of sensors equipped with magnetometers and short-range wireless radio interfaces for road traffic management. Between 2014 and 2017, Sébastien served as Research Associate at SnT/University of Luxembourg and played an active role in the VehicularLab team. Throughout his career, he has contributed to several national and European initiatives for the use, integration, and advancement of wireless networked systems to tackle mobility challenges. He is the project coordinator of 6G-TWIN (6G architecture, Horizon Europe/SNS JU), OPTIWAVE (EMF exposure, FNR funding) and COMBO (integration of connected and automated vehicles – FNR funding). Sébastien has authored patents on location profiling based on network traces, and he has authored or co-authored approximately 50 journal and refereed conference articles.
